“A user-friendly application from a partner you can rely on”

‘Ease-of-use’ is the most characteristic product feature of Organice, at least that’s the opinion of Henk Postma, ICT coordinator with Hillen & Roosen B.V., an independent construction and development company. So how come the system is so user-friendly?

Henk explains: “It’s easy to upload data centrally, and to define, store, download and transfer documents. Using the viewer, you can read different document formats (.pdf, .dwg, etc.) without having to open them and searching takes place at the click of a mouse.

Organice uses Microsoft SharePoint, a platform with a huge development potential and options for integration. In fact, it’s just like the standard Office package from Microsoft.”

Organice is no rigid package, however. It can be adjusted to suit individual requirements whilst at the same time everyone can use the same basic information. Compare the system to living in a block of flats. Each flat is furnished differently and they’re not necessarily the same size. However, everyone enters through the same door and when new tiling has been put down in the lobby, all residents walk across the same floor.

Hillen & Roosen has looked at several different systems. “We’ve been working for some time now with an in-house solution and are using our experience to build around Organice. What’s not clear yet, is how it will work on site. Implementation commenced during the summer holidays.” Henk, who started out his working life on the building site, pays tribute to the Cadac Group. “They know what they are talking about when it comes to building. It’s a ‘marriage’ based on mutual understanding, which rubs off on your ‘children’.

Since our lines of communication have always been good, there is no reason to think that this is any different for other colleagues in the industry, enabling good ‘chain communication’. That is the power that Organice offers.”
