Cadac Organice Explorer - AutoCAD integration
Cadac Organice Explorer supports the following AutoCAD versions:
*Autodesk officially stopped the support of AutoCAD 2006 and older
Cadac Organice Explorer’s integration with AutoCAD is based upon Autodesk RealDWG 2010. Autodesk RealDWG delivers the highest reliability in AutoCAD integration and is fully compatible with Autodesk’s best-in-class products. Build upon the native DWG libraries from AutoCAD, RealDWG minimizes the risk of file corruption or errors, and guarantees fully reliable design files.
The integration with AutoCAD provides full support of XREF’s, blocks and images (e.g. Xattach, Xoverlay, Ximage). XREF’s, blocks and images can also be stored and managed in SharePoint and inserted directly into the AutoCAD DWG drawing. The Cadac Organice toolbar in AutoCAD can be used to retrieve DWG files, XREF’s, blocks and images from SharePoint and save them back into SharePoint when the design work is finished.
With Cadac Organice you can link SharePoint metadata to the attributes in the AutoCAD DWG file. This can be configured according to company standards. When saving the AutoCAD file into SharePoint, Cadac Organice automatically synchronizes the SharePoint metadata with the attributes of the DWG file. Whenever metadata is changed in SharePoint, RealDWG is used to synchronize the attributes in the AutoCAD drawing, even when the AutoCAD application is not available to the person that changed the metadata in SharePoint.
