Getting Started with Organice Explorer

Important: you need an internet connection to start the program. If an internet connection is not available, please contact your reseller. 


1. Start Organice Explorer

After installation, you can start the Organice Explorer by double clicking the Organice Explorer icon on your desktop or select Start/Programs/Organice/Organice Explorer.

When you start the Organice Explorer the first time, the license registration screen will pop up:

 

If you want to run the Organice Explorer in evaluation mode press the "Trial" button and you will be able to evaluate the application for 30 days. After this evaluation time you have to provide a valid key to continue to use the software.

If you have a valid serial number, enter your Organization (Company Name) and the Serial number. Press the "Register" button. If the registration fields are pre-filled you can simply press the "Register" button.

Note: You need to have a connection to the internet to Register the software.


2. Adding a SharePoint site

There are two ways to add a SharePoint site:

A. Drag Url from Internet Explorer
  1. Start your internet browser (example: Internet Explorer).
  2. Go to the desired SharePoint site.
  3. Drag the URL-icon from the address field to the Site Navigation pane in the Organice Explorer.
B. Enter Url in Add-Site popup window

This method can be used if you know the exact URL of the SharePoint site you want to add.

  1. Click the Add-Site button in the Organice Explorer .


  2. Enter the URL of the desired SharePoint site.


  3. Click OK.
